12 and they forsook YHWH, God of their fathers, who had brought them out from the land of Egypt, and they went after other gods from the gods of the peoples who were around them, and they bowed down to them, and they provoked to anger YHWH. 13 And they forsook YHWH and did service to Baal and to the Ashtoreths. 14 And the anger of YHWH was hot against Israel, and He delivered them into the hands of plunderers, and they plundered them, and He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, and they were not able anymore to stand before the faces of their enemies. 15 In all that they went out, the hand of YHWH was against them for calamity, as YHWH had said, and as had sworn YHWH to them; and they were distressed greatly.
