1 And in one of the sabbaths comes Mary Magdalene in the morning, there yet being darkness, to the tomb, and sees the stone taken away from the tomb. 2 Then she runs, and comes to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and says to them, They took away the Lord from the tomb; and we know not where they laid him. 3 Peter then came forth, and the other disciple, and they came to the tomb. 4 And they two ran together: and the other disciple ran before, swifter than Peter, and came first to the tomb. 5 And having stood stooping, he sees the linen bandages lying; yet he did not go in. 6 Then comes Simon Peter following him, and he came into the tomb, and sees the linen bandages lying, 7 And the napkin, which was upon his head, not lying with the linen bandages, but separately inwrapped in one place. 8 Then, therefore, went in also the other disciple, having first come to the tomb, and he saw, and believed.
