I have made A covenant with my eyes; and how could I gaze upon a virgin?

For what would be the portion of God from above, and the inheritance of Shaddai in the heights?

Is not disaster for the perverse one and calamity for the workers of iniquity?

Does He not see my ways, and count all my steps?

If I have walked with falsehood, and my foot has hurried toward deceit,

let Him weigh me in the scales of justice, and let God know my integrity.

If my step has turned aside from the way, and my heart has walked, following my eyes, and on my palms has stuck a spot,

then let me sow, and another may eat, and may my crops be uprooted!
