16 For men swear by the greater; and the oath for confirmation is an end, to them, of every dispute:

17 wherein God, more abundantly willing to show to the heirs of the promise the immutability of His counsel, interposed with an oath;

18 that, through two immutable facts, in which it is impossible that God should lie, we may have strong encouragement, who fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us;

19 which we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and firm, and entering into the place within the veil;

20 where, as Forerunner in our behalf, Jesus entered, having become a High Priest forever, according to the rank of Melchizedek.
