1 Because of this, it is necessary for us to give heed more abundantly to the things having been heard, lest ever we should drift away. 2 For if the word having been spoken by angels was firm, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense, 3 how will we escape, having neglected such a great salvation, which, having received a beginning to be spoken by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those having heard, 4 God testifying with them both by signs and wonders, and by various miracles, and distributions of the Holy Spirit according to His will.
