13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them from afar, and having welcomed them, and having confessed that they are strangers and sojourners on the earth. 14 For those saying such things make manifest that they are seeking out a homeland. 15 And indeed if they had been remembering that from which they came out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But now they stretch forward to a better one, that is, a heavenly one.
