23 Make a chain! For the land is filled with with the judgment of blood, and the city is full of violence. 24 And I will bring the evil of the nations, and they will possess their houses; and I will cause to cease the pride of the strong, and their holy places will be defiled. 25 Anguish comes, and they will seek peace and there is none. 26 Disaster upon disaster will come, and rumor will be upon rumor; and they will seek a vision from a prophet, and the law will perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders. 27 The king will mourn, and the prince will be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land will tremble; according to their own way I will deal with them, and by their own judgment I will judge them; and they will know that I am YHWH.’” Ezekiel 7:23-27, Berean Literal Bible.
