3 At the going out of the man to the east, and the line in his hand, he measured a thousand by the cubit; and he brought me through the waters—waters to the ankles.

4 And he measured a thousand, and he brought me through the waters—waters to the knees; and again he measured a thousand, and he brought me through waters to the loins.

5 And he measured a thousand—a river that I was not able to cross; for the waters had risen—waters for swimming, a river that could not be crossed.
