Exodus 30:34-38 ▼

34 And YHWH said to Moses, “Take unto you spices—gum resin, and onycha, and galbanum—spices and pure frankincense; there shall be part for part.

35 And you shall make it incense, a compound, the work of a perfumer; salted, pure, and holy.

36 And you shall grind some of it very fine and put some of it before the face of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you there. It shall be holy of holies to you⁺.

37 And the incense that you shall make with its proportion, you⁺ shall not make for yourselves. It shall be holy to you for YHWH.

38 A man who makes something like it to smell it, he shall be cut off from his people.”
