1 Every commandment that I command you today, you? must be careful to do, so that you? may live and multiply and go in and possess the land that YHWH has sworn to your? fathers. 2 And you shall remember the whole way that YHWH your God led you this forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. 3 And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, so that He might make you know that the man shall not live by bread alone; but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of YHWH the man shall live. 4 Your garments did not wear out from you, and your foot did not swell this forty years. 5 And you shall know in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, YHWH your God disciplines you. 6 And you shall keep the commandments of YHWH your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him. 7 For YHWH your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs flowing out of valleys and hills; 8 a land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive oil and honey; 9 a land in which without scarcity you will eat bread; you will not lack any in it; a land whose stones are iron, and from the hills you can dig copper.
