4 And it has been, in your passing over the Jordan, you raise up these stones which I am commanding you today, in Mount Ebal, and you have plastered them with plaster, 5 and built an altar there to your God YHWH, an altar of stones; you do not wave iron over them. 6 You build the altar of your God YHWH [with] complete stones, and have caused burnt-offerings to ascend on it to your God YHWH, Deuteronomy 27:4-6, Literal Standard Version.
