12 Also Amaziah said to Amos, O you seer, go, flee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there; 13 But prophesy, not again any more at Beth-el; for it is the king's sanctuary and it is the house of the kingdom. 14 Then Amos answered and said to Amaziah, I am not a prophet, neither a prophet's son; but I was a shepherd and a gatherer of wild figs; 15 And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said to me, Go, prophesy against my people Israel.
