12 Now when we had heard this, both we and the local residents began pleading with Paul trying to persuade him not to go up to Jerusalem.

13 Then Paul replied, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart [like this]? For I am ready not only to be bound and imprisoned, but even to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

14 And since he would not be dissuaded, we stopped pleading and fell silent, saying, “The Lord’s will be done!”
