1 Then some men came down from Judea (land of praise) and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you⁺ are circumcised according to the custom of Moses (drawn out), you⁺ cannot be saved.

2 And after engaging these men in sharp debate, Paul (humble) and Barnabas (son of encouragement) were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem (city of peace) to see the apostles (sent ones) and elders about this question.
