46 Then Paul and Barnabas speaking with undaunted boldness, said, It was necessary that the word of God should be first spoken unto you: but since ye have thrust it from you, and judged yourselves not worthy of eternal life, lo! we turn to the Gentiles. 47 For so hath the Lord enjoined us, ?I have set thee for a light of the Gentiles, that thou mightest be for salvation unto the extremity of the earth.? 48 Now when the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced, and glorified the word of the Lord: and they believed, even as many as were ordained to life eternal.
