11 And Jehu killed all who remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his acquaintances, and his priests, until none he left remaining to him. 12 And he arose and departed and went to Samaria. He was at Beth-eked of the Shepherds on the way, 13 and Jehu met the brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah and said, “Who are you⁺?” And they said, “We are brothers of Ahaziah, and we have come down for the welfare of the sons of the king and the sons of the queen mother.” 14 And he said, “Take them alive.” And they took them alive and killed them at the well of Beth-eked—forty-two men. And he left not a man of them. 15 And he departed from there, and he met Jehonadab son of Rechab coming to meet him. And he blessed him and said to him, “Is your heart straight as my heart is toward your heart?” And Jehonadab answered, “It is.” And he said, “Give me your hand.” And he gave him his hand, and he took him up to him into the chariot. 16 And he said, “Come with me and see my zeal for YHWH.” And they had him ride in his chariot. 17 And he came to Samaria, and he killed all who remained to Ahab in Samaria until he had destroyed them, according to the word of YHWH that He spoke to Elijah. 2 Kings 10:11-17, Berean Literal Bible.
