4 And he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and in the forests he built fortresses and towers. 5 And He fought with the king of the sons of Ammon, and he prevailed over them, and the sons of Ammon gave to him in that year a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand cors of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. This the sons of Ammon paid to him in the second year and in the third. 6 And Jotham strengthened himself because he established his ways before YHWH his God. 7 And the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars and his ways, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah. 8 He was a son of twenty-five years in his reigning, and sixteen years he reigned in Jerusalem. 9 And Jotham rested with his fathers, and they buried him in the City of David. And Ahaz his son reigned in his place. 2 Chronicles 27:4-9, Berean Literal Bible. Public domain.
