17 And after the death of Jehoiada, the leaders of Judah came and bowed down to the king. Then the king listened to them. 18 And they forsook the house of YHWH, God of their fathers, and they served the Asherim and the idols. And wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this on account of their guilt. 19 And He sent to them prophets to bring them back to YHWH.
