18 Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works (acts), and to be generous and ready to share, 19 treasuring up for themselves a firm foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. 20 O Timothy (honoring God), guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid irreverent, empty chatter and the opposing arguments of so-called “knowledge, 21 which some have professed and thus swerved away from the faith.
