1 Let as many as are slaves under a yoke account their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the teaching be not blasphemed. 2 And let those having believing masters not despise them, because they are brethren; but let them serve them the more, because they are faithful and beloved, who are partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. 3 If anyone teaches otherwise, and consents not to healthful words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the teaching according to godliness, 4 he has become puffed up, knowing nothing, but morbid about questions and word-battles, out of which come envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 1 Timothy 6:1-4, Worrell New Testament.
