1 Timothy 1:1-4 ▼

1 PAUL, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Christ Jesus, our hope;

2 To Ti-mo’the-us, a true son in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God, our Father, and Christ Jesus our LORD.

3 When I went to Mac-e-do’ni-a, I besought you to remain at Eph'e-sus, so that you might charge certain ones not to teach diverse doctrines,

4 And not to give heed to fables and stories of endless genealogies, which cause dispute, rather than build up the faith of God.
