1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ to the sojourners of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 elect according to the fore-knowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: grace to you, and peace be multiplied. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of out Lord Jesus Christ, Who, according to His abundant mercy, begat us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and unfading; kept in Heaven for you, 5 who are being guarded by God's power, through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time; 6 in which ye exult, though now, for a little while, if necessary, made sorrowful in manifold temptations; 7 that the proving of your faith? being much more precious than gold that perishes, but is proved through fire—may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 8 Whom, not having seen, ye love; on Whom, though now not seeing Him , yet believing, ye exult with joy unspeakable and full of glory; 9 receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of souls; 1 Peter 1:1-9, Worrell New Testament.
