14 The descendants of Manasseh (causing to forget): Asriel (I shall be prince of God) through his Aramean (exalted) concubine. The name of his sister was Maacah (oppression). Another descendant was named Zelophehad (first-born), who had only daughters. 16 Machir’s (sold) wife Maacah (oppression) gave birth to a son, and she named him Peresh (dung). His brother was named Sheresh (root), and his sons were Ulam (their leader) and Rekem (variegation). 17 The son of Ulam (their leader): Bedan (in judging).
