5 and these sons were born to him in Jerusalem (city of peace): Shimea (Shammua), Shobab (rebellious), Nathan (giver), and Solomon (peace). These four were born to him by Bathsheba [Bath-shua] daughter of Ammiel (Eliam). 6 David’s other sons were Ibhar, Elishua [Elishama], Eliphelet (God is deliverance), 7 Nogah (brightness), Nepheg (sprout), Japhia (shining), 8 Elishama (my God has heard), Eliada (God knows), and Eliphelet (God is deliverance)—nine in all. 9 These were all the sons of David (beloved), besides the sons by his concubines.
