1 These are David's descendants who were born to him in Hebron: Amnon his firstborn by Ahinoam the Jezreelite, Daniel his second born by Abigail the Carmelite,

2 Absalom his third born by Maacah daughter of King Talmai of Geshur, Adonijah his fourth born by Haggith,

3 Shephatiah his fifth born by Abital, and Ithream his sixth born by his wife Eglah.

4 These six were born to him in Hebron, where he reigned for seven years and six months. He reigned 33 years in Jerusalem.
