29 Of the Izharites: Chenaniah and his sons were for the secular business of Israel, as scribes and judges. 30 And of the Hebronites: Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, one thousand and seven hundred, were officers over the Israelites on this side of Jordan westward, in charge of all the business of the LORD and in the service of the king. 31 Among the Hebronites was Neriah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of their fathers.
