Additionally, David (beloved) and the commanders of the army set apart some of the sons of Asaph (gatherer), Heman (faithful), and Jeduthun (praising) to prophesy with the accompaniment of lyres, harps, and cymbals. The following is the list of the men who performed this service:

From the sons of Asaph (gatherer): Zaccur (mindful), Joseph (YHWH has added), Nethaniah (given of YHWH), and Asarelah (God holds). These sons of Asaph were under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the direction of the king.

(praising) From the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah (YHWH is great), Zeri (built), Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah (YHWH has considered), and Mattithiah (gift of YHWH)—six in all—under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with the harp, giving thanks and praise to the LORD {YHWH}.

(faithful) From the sons of Heman: Bukkiah (YHWH has emptied), Mattaniah (gift of YHWH), Uzziel (my strength is God), Shebuel (Shubael), Jerimoth (Jeremoth), Hananiah (God has favored), Hanani (gracious), Eliathah (God has come), Giddalti (I make great), Romamti-ezer (I have exalted the Helper), Joshbekashah (seated in hardness), Mallothi (I have uttered), Hothir (abundance), and Mahazioth (visions).

All these sons of Heman (faithful) the king’s seer were given him through the promises of God {Elohim} to exalt him, for God had given Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

All these were under the direction of their fathers for the music of the house of the LORD {YHWH} with cymbals, harps, and lyres, for the service of the house of God {Elohim}. Asaph (gatherer), Jeduthun (praising), and Heman (faithful) were under the direction of the king.

Together with their relatives, who were all trained and skillful in the songs of the LORD {YHWH}, they numbered 288.
