22 Segub (exalted) was the father of Jair (he enlightens), who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead (rocky region). 23 But Geshur (proud beholder) and Aram (exalted) captured Havvoth-jair (villages of Jair), along with Kenath (possession) and its sixty surrounding villages.
