1 And they brought the ark of God and set it in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it, and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the face of God. 2 And David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, and he blessed the people in the name of YHWH. 3 And he distributed to each man of Israel, from man and to woman, to everyone a cake of bread, and a date cake, and a raisin cake. 4 And he put before the face of the ark of YHWH some of the Levites to minister, and to commemorate, and to thank, and to praise YHWH, God of Israel: 5 Asaph was the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with stringed instruments and harps; and Asaph sounded with cymbals. 6 And Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests regularly blew the trumpets before the face of the ark of the covenant of God. 7 On that day then David delivered at the beginning to give thanks to YHWH by the hand of Asaph and his brothers: 8 “Give thanks to YHWH, Call upon His name, make known among the peoples His deeds. 9 Sing to Him, sing praises to Him, tell of all His wonders. 10 Glory in His holy name; let rejoice the hearts of those seeking YHWH. 1 Chronicles 16:1-10, Berean Literal Bible.
