A Psalm of the sons of Korah; a Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains. On the holy mount stands the city he founded; Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. A song. He has founded his city on the holy mountain.
The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob. The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwellings of Jacob.
Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God. Selah Glorious things are said of you, city of God:
I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this one was born there. Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush— “This one was born there,” they say. “I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me— Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush — and will say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’”
Yea, of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; and the Most High himself shall establish her. And of Zion it shall be said, “This one and that one were born in her”; for the Most High himself will establish her. Indeed, of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her.”
The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the peoples, this one was born there. Selah The LORD records as he registers the peoples, “This one was born there.” Selah The LORD will write in the register of the peoples: “This one was born in Zion.”
They that sing as well as they that dance shall say, All my fountains are in thee. Singers and dancers alike say, “All my springs are in you.” As they make music they will sing, “All my fountains are in you.”
