<V 69:1>Unto the end. A Psalm of David, in remembrance that the Lord had saved him. <V 69:2>O God, reach out to help me. O Lord, hasten to assist me. Make haste, O God, to deliver me! O LORD, make haste to help me! For the director of music. Of David. A petition. Hasten, O God, to save me; come quickly, LORD, to help me.
<V 69:3>May those who seek my soul be confounded and awed. Let them be put to shame and confusion who seek my life! Let them be turned back and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt! May those who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
<V 69:4>May those who wish evils upon me be turned back and blush with shame. May they be turned away immediately, blushing with shame, who say to me: “Well, well.” Let them turn back because of their shame who say, “Aha, Aha!” May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!” turn back because of their shame.
<V 69:5>Let all who seek you exult and rejoice in you, and let those who love your salvation forever say: “The Lord be magnified.” May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you! May those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!” But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The LORD is great!”
<V 69:6>I am truly destitute and poor. O God, assist me. You are my helper and my deliverer. O Lord, do not delay. But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, do not delay! But as for me, I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; LORD, do not delay.
