1 I WILL praise thee with my whole heart; before the kings will I sing praise to thee. I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise; Of David. I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; before the “gods” I will sing your praise.
2 I will worship in thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth; for thou hast magnified thy word above every name. I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame.
3 In the day when I cried to thee, thou didst answer me, and didst increase the strength of my soul. On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased. When I called, you answered me; you greatly emboldened me.
4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, for they have heard the words of thy mouth. All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O LORD, for they have heard the words of your mouth, May all the kings of the earth praise you, LORD, when they hear what you have decreed.
5 Yea, they shall praise the ways of the LORD; for great is the glory of the LORD. and they shall sing of the ways of the LORD, for great is the glory of the LORD. May they sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great.
6 Though the LORD be high, yet can he see those who have been brought low; but the proud he knows from afar. For though the LORD is high, he regards the lowly, but the haughty he knows from afar. Though the LORD is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly; though lofty, he sees them from afar.
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt save me; thou shalt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life. You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; with your right hand you save me.
8 O LORD, rest thy right hand upon me; thy mercy, O LORD, endures for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands. The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. The LORD will vindicate me; your love, LORD, endures forever— do not abandon the works of your hands.
