1	My son, pay attention to my words. Treasure my commands that are within you.	My son, keep my words and treasure up my commandments with you;	My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you.
2	Obey my commands so that you may live. Follow my teachings just as you protect the pupil of your eye.	keep my commandments and live; keep my teaching as the apple of your eye;	Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
3	Tie them on your fingers. Write them on the tablet of your heart.	bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.	Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.
4	Say to wisdom, \|You are my sister.\| Give the name \|my relative\| to understanding	Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call insight your intimate friend,	Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.”
5	in order to guard yourself from an adulterous woman, from a loose woman with her smooth talk.	to keep you from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words.	They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words.
6	From a window in my house I looked through my screen.	For at the window of my house I have looked out through my lattice,	At the window of my house I looked down through the lattice.
7	I was looking at gullible people when I saw a young man without much sense among youths.	and I have seen among the simple, I have perceived among the youths, a young man lacking sense,	I saw among the simple, I noticed among the young men, a youth who had no sense.
8	He was crossing a street near her corner and walking toward her house	passing along the street near her corner, taking the road to her house	He was going down the street near her corner, walking along in the direction of her house
9	in the twilight, in the evening, in the dark hours of the night.	in the twilight, in the evening, at the time of night and darkness.	at twilight, as the day was fading, as the dark of night set in.
