1	My son! if thou hast been surety for thy friend, Hast stricken for a stranger thy hand,	My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor, have given your pledge for a stranger,	My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor, if you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,
2	Hast been snared with sayings of thy mouth, Hast been captured with sayings of thy mouth,	if you are snared in the words of your mouth, caught in the words of your mouth,	you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth.
3	Do this now, my son, and be delivered, For thou hast come into the hand of thy friend. Go, trample on thyself, and strengthen thy friend,	then do this, my son, and save yourself, for you have come into the hand of your neighbor: go, hasten, and plead urgently with your neighbor.	So do this, my son, to free yourself, since you have fallen into your neighbor’s hands: Go—to the point of exhaustion— and give your neighbor no rest!
