26 For by a woman a harlot, even to a round of bread: and a man's wife will hunt the precious soul. for the price of a prostitute is only a loaf of bread, but a married woman hunts down a precious life. For a prostitute can be had for a loaf of bread, but another man’s wife preys on your very life.
27 A man taking fire in his bosom, shall his garments not be burnt? Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not be burned? Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned?
28 If a man shall go upon burning coals shall his feet not be burnt? Or can one walk on hot coals and his feet not be scorched? Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched?
29 So he going in to his neighbor's wife; all touching upon her shall not be innocent. So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife; none who touches her will go unpunished. So is he who sleeps with another man’s wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished.
