1 My son, to my wisdom be attentive, to understanding incline your ear, My son, be attentive to my wisdom; incline your ear to my understanding, My son, pay attention to my wisdom, turn your ear to my words of insight,
2 That you may act discreetly, and your lips guard what you know. that you may keep discretion, and your lips may guard knowledge. that you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge.
