12 Why have I hated instruction, and my heart consented not to reproof, and you say, “How I hated discipline, and my heart despised reproof! You will say, “How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction!
13 And have not heard the voice of them that taught me, and have not in- dined my ear to masters? I did not listen to the voice of my teachers or incline my ear to my instructors. I would not obey my teachers or turn my ear to my instructors.
14 I have almost been in all evil, in the midst of the church and of the congregation. I am at the brink of utter ruin in the assembled congregation.” And I was soon in serious trouble in the assembly of God’s people.”
