My son, thou shalt not forget my law, and thy heart shall guard my commands: My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,
For length of days and years of life, and peace they shall add to thee. for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.
Mercy and truth shall not forsake thee: bind them upon thy throat; write them upon the tablet of thy heart: Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
And find grace and good understanding in the eyes of God and man. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
Trust to Jehovah with all thy heart; and thou shalt not lean to thine understanding. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
In all thy ways know him, and he will make straight thy paths. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Thou shalt not be wise in thine eyes: fear Jehovah and depart from evil. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.
