5 וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ אִם־ מָצָ֤אנוּ חֵן֙ בְּעֵינֶ֔יךָ יֻתַּ֞ן אֶת־ הָאָ֧רֶץ הַזֹּ֛את לַעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ לַאֲחֻזָּ֑ה אַל־ תַּעֲבִרֵ֖נוּ אֶת־ הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ And they said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession. Do not take us across the Jordan.” If we have found favor in your eyes,” they said, “let this land be given to your servants as our possession. Do not make us cross the Jordan.”
6 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה לִבְנֵי־ גָ֖ד וְלִבְנֵ֣י רְאוּבֵ֑ן הַאַֽחֵיכֶ֗ם יָבֹ֙אוּ֙ לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה וְאַתֶּ֖ם תֵּ֥שְׁבוּ פֹֽה׃ But Moses said to the people of Gad and to the people of Reuben, “Shall your brothers go to the war while you sit here? Moses said to the Gadites and Reubenites, “Should your fellow Israelites go to war while you sit here?
