| 2 | שְׁלַח־ לְךָ֣ אֲנָשִׁ֗ים וְיָתֻ֙רוּ֙ אֶת־ אֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן אֲשֶׁר־ אֲנִ֥י נֹתֵ֖ן לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אִ֣ישׁ אֶחָד֩ אִ֨ישׁ אֶחָ֜ד לְמַטֵּ֤ה אֲבֹתָיו֙ תִּשְׁלָ֔חוּ כֹּ֖ל נָשִׂ֥יא בָהֶֽם׃ | “Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel. From each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a chief among them.” | “Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders.” | |
| 3 | וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח אֹתָ֥ם מֹשֶׁ֛ה מִמִּדְבַּ֥ר פָּארָ֖ן עַל־ פִּ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כֻּלָּ֣ם אֲנָשִׁ֔ים רָאשֵׁ֥י בְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל הֵֽמָּה׃ | So Moses sent them from the wilderness of Paran, according to the command of the LORD, all of them men who were heads of the people of Israel. | So at the LORD’s command Moses sent them out from the Desert of Paran. All of them were leaders of the Israelites. | |
