| 8 | And a great many people spread their garments on the road; and others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. | Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. | A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. | |
| 9 | And the people who were going before him and coming after him, were shouting and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. | And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” | The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” | |
