2 Some Pharisees came to test Him. “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” they inquired. And Pharisees came up and in order to test him asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”
3 “What did Moses command you?” He replied. He answered them, “What did Moses command you?” “What did Moses command you?” he replied.
4 They answered, “Moses permitted a man to write his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away.” They said, “Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce and to send her away.” They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.”
