16 Jesus asked a second time, “Simon (hearing) son of John (YHWH is gracious), do you love {agapas} Me? “Yes, Lord {Kyrie}, he answered, “You know I love {philō} You. Jesus told him, “Shepherd My sheep. He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”
17 Jesus asked a third time, “Simon (hearing) son of John (YHWH is gracious), do you love Me? Peter (rock) was deeply hurt that Jesus had asked him a third time, “Do you love Me? “Lord {Kyrie}, You know all things, he replied. “You know I love {philō} You. Jesus (YHWH saves) said to him, “Feed My sheep. He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.
