1 זֶ֣ה סֵ֔פֶר תּוֹלְדֹ֖ת אָדָ֑ם בְּי֗וֹם בְּרֹ֤א אֱלֹהִים֙ אָדָ֔ם בִּדְמ֥וּת אֱלֹהִ֖ים עָשָׂ֥ה אֹתֽוֹ׃ This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. This is the written account of Adam’s family line. When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God.
2 זָכָ֥ר וּנְקֵבָ֖ה בְּרָאָ֑ם וַיְבָ֣רֶךְ אֹתָ֗ם וַיִּקְרָ֤א אֶת־ שְׁמָם֙ אָדָ֔ם בְּי֖וֹם הִבָּֽרְאָֽם׃ ס Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created. He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind” when they were created.
