1 This is the account of Esau (that is, Edom). These are the generations of Esau (that is, Edom). Now these <i>are</i> the generations of Esau, who <i>is</i> Edom. 6 Later, Esau took his wives and sons and daughters and all the people of his household, along with his livestock, all his other animals, and all the property he had acquired in Canaan, and he moved to a land far away from his brother Jacob. Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the members of his household, his livestock, all his beasts, and all his property that he had acquired in the land of Canaan. He went into a land away from his brother Jacob. And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob. Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all his household, and his livestock and all his cattle, and all his property which he had acquired in the land of Canaan, and went to <i>another</i> land away from his brother Jacob. Esau took his wives and sons and daughters and all the members of his household, as well as his livestock and all his other animals and all the goods he had acquired in Canaan, and moved to a land some distance from his brother Jacob.
7 For their possessions were too great for them to dwell together; the land where they stayed could not support them because of their livestock. 12 Additionally, Timna, a concubine of Esau’s son Eliphaz, gave birth to Amalek. These are the grandsons of Esau’s wife Adah. (Timna was a concubine of Eliphaz, Esau’s son; she bore Amalek to Eliphaz.) These are the sons of Adah, Esau’s wife. And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these <i>were</i> the sons of Adah Esau's wife. When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites succeeded him as king.
35 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Avith. Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, reigned in his place, the name of his city being Avith. And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city <i>was</i> Avith. Then Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the field of Moab, became king in his place; and the name of his city was Avith. When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, succeeded him as king. His city was named Avith.
36 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place. Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place. And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead. Then Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah became king in his place. When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king.
37 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the Euphrates reigned in his place. Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth on the Euphrates reigned in his place. And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth <i>by</i> the river reigned in his stead. Then Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth on the <i>Euphrates</i> River became king in his place. 38 When Shaul died, Baal-hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place. Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his place. And Saul died, and Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead. Then Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor became king in his place. 39 When Baal-hanan son of Achbor died, Hadad reigned in his place. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab. Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his place, the name of his city being Pau; his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab. And Baalhanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city <i>was</i> Pau; and his wife's name <i>was</i> Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab. Then Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar became king in his place; and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab. When Baal-Hanan son of Akbor died, Hadad succeeded him as king. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab.
