27	And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and they two made a covenant.	So Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech, and the two men made a covenant.	So Abraham brought sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelek, and the two men made a treaty.
28	And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.	Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock apart.	Abraham set apart seven ewe lambs from the flock,
29	And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?	And Abimelech said to Abraham, “What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs that you have set apart?”	and Abimelek asked Abraham, “What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs you have set apart by themselves?”
30	And he said, These seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that it may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.	He said, “These seven ewe lambs you will take from my hand, that this may be a witness for me that I dug this well.”	He replied, “Accept these seven lambs from my hand as a witness that I dug this well.”
31	Wherefore he called that place Beer-sheba; because there they sware both of them.	Therefore that place was called Beersheba, because there both of them swore an oath.	So that place was called Beersheba, because the two men swore an oath there.
32	So they made a covenant at Beer-sheba: and Abimelech rose up, and Phicol the captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.	So they made a covenant at Beersheba. Then Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army rose up and returned to the land of the Philistines.	After the treaty had been made at Beersheba, Abimelek and Phicol the commander of his forces returned to the land of the Philistines.
33	And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beer-sheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God.	Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba and called there on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God.	Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the LORD, the Eternal God.
34	And Abraham sojourned in the land of the Philistines many days.	And Abraham sojourned many days in the land of the Philistines.	And Abraham stayed in the land of the Philistines for a long time.
