And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of the well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away. When Abraham reproved Abimelech about a well of water that Abimelech’s servants had seized, Then Abraham complained to Abimelek about a well of water that Abimelek’s servants had seized.
And Abimelech said, I know not who hath done this thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but today. Abimelech said, “I do not know who has done this thing; you did not tell me, and I have not heard of it until today.” But Abimelek said, “I don’t know who has done this. You did not tell me, and I heard about it only today.”
And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and they two made a covenant. So Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech, and the two men made a covenant. So Abraham brought sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelek, and the two men made a treaty.
And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves. Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock apart. Abraham set apart seven ewe lambs from the flock,
And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves? And Abimelech said to Abraham, “What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs that you have set apart?” and Abimelek asked Abraham, “What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs you have set apart by themselves?”
And he said, These seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that it may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well. He said, “These seven ewe lambs you will take from my hand, that this may be a witness for me that I dug this well.” He replied, “Accept these seven lambs from my hand as a witness that I dug this well.”
