1	Then the man brought me into the outer sanctuary and measured the side pillars to be six cubits wide on each side.	Then he brought me to the nave and measured the jambs. On each side six cubits was the breadth of the jambs.	Afterward he brought me to the temple, and measured the posts, six cubits broad on the one side, and six cubits broad on the other side, <i>which was</i> the breadth of the tabernacle.	Then he brought me to the sanctuary, and he measured the side pillars: six cubits wide on each side <i>was</i> the width of the side pillar.	Then the man brought me to the main hall and measured the jambs; the width of the jambs was six cubits on each side.
2	The width of the entrance was ten cubits, and the sides of the entrance were five cubits on each side. He also measured the length of the outer sanctuary to be forty cubits, and the width to be twenty cubits.	And the breadth of the entrance was ten cubits, and the sidewalls of the entrance were five cubits on either side. And he measured the length of the nave, forty cubits, and its breadth, twenty cubits.	And the breadth of the door <i>was</i> ten cubits; and the sides of the door <i>were</i> five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side: and he measured the length thereof, forty cubits: and the breadth, twenty cubits.	The width of the entrance <i>was</i> ten cubits and the sides of the entrance <i>were</i> five cubits on each side. He also measured the length of the sanctuary, forty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits.	The entrance was ten cubits wide, and the projecting walls on each side of it were five cubits wide. He also measured the main hall; it was forty cubits long and twenty cubits wide.
3	And he went into the inner sanctuary and measured the side pillars at the entrance to be two cubits wide. The entrance was six cubits wide, and the walls on each side were seven cubits wide.	Then he went into the inner room and measured the jambs of the entrance, two cubits; and the entrance, six cubits; and the sidewalls on either side of the entrance, seven cubits.	Then went he inward, and measured the post of the door, two cubits; and the door, six cubits; and the breadth of the door, seven cubits.	Then he went inside and measured <i>each</i> side pillar of the doorway, two cubits, and the doorway, six cubits <i>high;</i> and the width of the doorway, seven cubits.	Then he went into the inner sanctuary and measured the jambs of the entrance; each was two cubits wide. The entrance was six cubits wide, and the projecting walls on each side of it were seven cubits wide.
4	Then he measured the room adjacent to the inner sanctuary to be twenty cubits long and twenty cubits wide. And he said to me, “This is the Most Holy Place.	And he measured the length of the room, twenty cubits, and its breadth, twenty cubits, across the nave. And he said to me, “This is the Most Holy Place.”	So he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This <i>is</i> the most holy <i>place</i>.	And he measured its length, twenty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits, before the sanctuary; and he said to me, “This is the Most Holy Place.”	And he measured the length of the inner sanctuary; it was twenty cubits, and its width was twenty cubits across the end of the main hall. He said to me, “This is the Most Holy Place.”
5	Next he measured the wall of the temple to be six cubits thick, and the width of each side room around the temple was four cubits.	Then he measured the wall of the temple, six cubits thick, and the breadth of the side chambers, four cubits, all around the temple.	After he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; and the breadth of <i>every</i> side chamber, four cubits, round about the house on every side.	Then he measured the wall of the temple, six cubits; and the width of the side chambers, four cubits, all around the house on every side.	Then he measured the wall of the temple; it was six cubits thick, and each side room around the temple was four cubits wide.
6	The side rooms were arranged one above another in three levels of thirty rooms each. There were ledges all around the wall of the temple to serve as supports for the side rooms, so that the supports would not be fastened into the wall of the temple itself.	And the side chambers were in three stories, one over another, thirty in each story. There were offsets all around the wall of the temple to serve as supports for the side chambers, so that they should not be supported by the wall of the temple.	And the side chambers <i>were</i> three, one over another, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which <i>was</i> of the house for the side chambers round about, that they might have hold, but they had not hold in the wall of the house.	The side chambers were in three <i>stories,</i> one above another, and thirty in each story; and the side chambers extended to the wall which <i>stood</i> on their inward side all around, so that they could be attached, but not be attached to the wall of the temple <i>itself.</i>	The side rooms were on three levels, one above another, thirty on each level. There were ledges all around the wall of the temple to serve as supports for the side rooms, so that the supports were not inserted into the wall of the temple.
7	The side rooms surrounding the temple widened at each successive level, because the structure surrounding the temple ascended by stages corresponding to the narrowing of the temple wall as it rose upward. And so a stairway went up from the lowest story to the highest, through the middle one.	And it became broader as it wound upward to the side chambers, because the temple was enclosed upward all around the temple. Thus the temple had a broad area upward, and so one went up from the lowest story to the top story through the middle story.	And <i>there was</i> an enlarging, and a winding about still upward to the side chambers: for the winding about of the house went still upward round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house <i>was still</i> upward, and so increased <i>from</i> the lowest <i>chamber</i> to the highest by the midst.	And the side chambers surrounding <i>the temple</i> were wider at each successive story. Because the structure surrounding the temple <i>went</i> upward by stages on all sides of the temple, for that reason the width of the temple <i>increased</i> as it went higher; and so one went up from the lowest <i>story</i> to the highest by way of the second <i>story.</i>	The side rooms all around the temple were wider at each successive level. The structure surrounding the temple was built in ascending stages, so that the rooms widened as one went upward. A stairway went up from the lowest floor to the top floor through the middle floor.
8	I saw that the temple had a raised base all around it, forming the foundation of the side rooms. It was the full length of a rod, six long cubits.	I saw also that the temple had a raised platform all around; the foundations of the side chambers measured a full reed of six long cubits.	I saw also the height of the house round about: the foundations of the side chambers <i>were</i> a full reed of six great cubits.	I saw also that the house had a raised platform all around; the foundations of the side chambers were a full rod of six long cubits <i>in height.</i>	I saw that the temple had a raised base all around it, forming the foundation of the side rooms. It was the length of the rod, six long cubits.
9	The outer wall of the side rooms was five cubits thick, and the open area between the side rooms of the temple	The thickness of the outer wall of the side chambers was five cubits. The free space between the side chambers of the temple and the	The thickness of the wall, which <i>was</i> for the side chamber without, <i>was</i> five cubits: and <i>that</i> which <i>was</i> left <i>was</i> the place of the side chambers that <i>were</i> within. 11	The side rooms opened into this area, with one entrance on the north and another on the south. The open area was five cubits wide all around.	And the doors of the side chambers opened on the free space, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south. And the breadth of the free space was five cubits all around.	And the doors of the side chambers <i>were</i> toward <i>the place that was</i> left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left <i>was</i> five cubits round about.	The doorways of the side chambers toward the free space <i>consisted of</i> one doorway toward the north, and another doorway toward the south; and the width of the free space <i>was</i> five cubits all around.	There were entrances to the side rooms from the open area, one on the north and another on the south; and the base adjoining the open area was five cubits wide all around.
12	Now the building that faced the temple courtyard on the west was seventy cubits wide, and the wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, with a length of ninety cubits.	The building that was facing the separate yard on the west side was seventy cubits broad, and the wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, and its length ninety cubits.	Now the building that <i>was</i> before the separate place at the end toward the west <i>was</i> seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building <i>was</i> five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof ninety cubits.	The building that <i>was</i> in front of the separate area at the side toward the west <i>was</i> seventy cubits wide; and the wall of the building <i>was</i> five cubits thick all around, and its length <i>was</i> ninety cubits.	The building facing the temple courtyard on the west side was seventy cubits wide. The wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, and its length was ninety cubits.
13	Then he measured the temple to be a hundred cubits long, and the temple courtyard and the building with its walls were also a hundred cubits long.	Then he measured the temple, a hundred cubits long; and the yard and the building with its walls, a hundred cubits long;	So he measured the house, an hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, an hundred cubits long;	Then he measured the temple, a hundred cubits long; the separate area with the building and its walls <i>were</i> also a hundred cubits long.	Then he measured the temple; it was a hundred cubits long, and the temple courtyard and the building with its walls were also a hundred cubits long.
14	The width of the temple courtyard on the east, including the front of the temple, was a hundred cubits.	also the breadth of the east front of the temple and the yard, a hundred cubits.	Also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, an hundred cubits.	Also the width of the front of the temple and <i>that of</i> the separate areas along the east <i>side totaled</i> a hundred cubits.	The width of the temple courtyard on the east, including the front of the temple, was a hundred cubits.
15	Next he measured the length of the building facing the temple courtyard at the rear of the temple, including its galleries on each side; it was a hundred cubits. The outer sanctuary, the inner sanctuary, and the porticoes facing the court,	Then he measured the length of the building facing the yard that was at the back and its galleries on either side, a hundred cubits. The inside of the nave and the vestibules of the court,	And he measured the length of the building over against the separate place which <i>was</i> behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court;	And he measured the length of the building along the front of the separate area behind it, with a gallery on each side, a hundred cubits; <i>he</i> also <i>measured</i> the inner sanctuary and the porches of the courtyard.	Then he measured the length of the building facing the courtyard at the rear of the temple, including its galleries on each side; it was a hundred cubits. 16	as well as the thresholds and the beveled windows and the galleries all around with their three levels opposite the threshold, were overlaid with wood on all sides. They were paneled from the ground to the windows, and the windows were covered.	the thresholds and the narrow windows and the galleries all around the three of them, opposite the threshold, were paneled with wood all around, from the floor up to the windows (now the windows were covered),	The door posts, and the narrow windows, and the galleries round about on their three stories, over against the door, cieled with wood round about, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows <i>were</i> covered;	The thresholds, the latticed windows, and the galleries all around their three <i>stories,</i> opposite the threshold, were paneled with wood all around, and <i>from</i> the ground to the windows (but the windows were covered),	as well as the thresholds and the narrow windows and galleries around the three of them—everything beyond and including the threshold was covered with wood. The floor, the wall up to the windows, and the windows were covered.
17	In the space above the outside of the entrance to the inner sanctuary on all the walls, spaced evenly around the inner and outer sanctuary,	to the space above the door, even to the inner room, and on the outside. And on all the walls all around, inside and outside, was a measured pattern.	To that above the door, even unto the inner house, and without, and by all the wall round about within and without, by measure.	over the entrance, and to the inner house, and on the outside, and on all the wall all around inside and outside, <i>by</i> measurement.	In the space above the outside of the entrance to the inner sanctuary and on the walls at regular intervals all around the inner and outer sanctuary
18	were alternating carved cherubim and palm trees. Each cherub had two faces:	It was carved of cherubim and palm trees, a palm tree between cherub and cherub. Every cherub had two faces:	And <i>it was</i> made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree <i>was</i> between a cherub and a cherub; and <i>every</i> cherub had two faces;	It was carved with cherubim and palm trees; and a palm tree was between cherub and cherub, and <i>every</i> cherub had two faces:	were carved cherubim and palm trees. Palm trees alternated with cherubim. Each cherub had two faces:
19	the face of a man was toward the palm tree on one side, and the face of a young lion was toward the palm tree on the other side. They were carved all the way around the temple.	a human face toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side. They were carved on the whole temple all around.	So that the face of a man <i>was</i> toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side: <i>it was</i> made through all the house round about.	a human face toward the palm tree on one side and a young lion’s face toward the palm tree on the other side; they were carved on all the house all around.	the face of a human being toward the palm tree on one side and the face of a lion toward the palm tree on the other. 20	Cherubim and palm trees were carved on the wall of the outer sanctuary from the floor to the space above the entrance.	From the floor to above the door, cherubim and palm trees were carved; similarly the wall of the nave.	From the ground unto above the door <i>were</i> cherubims and palm trees made, and <i>on</i> the wall of the temple.	From the ground to above the entrance cherubim and palm trees were carved, as well as <i>on</i> the wall of the sanctuary.	From the floor to the area above the entrance, cherubim and palm trees were carved on the wall of the main hall.
21	The outer sanctuary had a rectangular doorframe, and the doorframe of the sanctuary was similar.	The doorposts of the nave were squared, and in front of the Holy Place was something resembling	The posts of the temple <i>were</i> squared, <i>and</i> the face of the sanctuary; the appearance <i>of the one</i> as the appearance <i>of the other</i>.	The doorposts of the sanctuary were square; as for the front of the <i>inner</i> sanctuary, the appearance <i>of one doorpost was</i> like that <i>of the other.</i>	The main hall had a rectangular doorframe, and the one at the front of the Most Holy Place was similar.
22	There was an altar of wood three cubits high and two cubits square. Its corners, base, and sides were of wood. And the man told me, “This is the table that is before the LORD.”	an altar of wood, three cubits high, two cubits long, and two cubits broad. Its corners, its base, and its walls were of wood. He said to me, “This is the table that is before the LORD.”	The altar of wood <i>was</i> three cubits high, and the length thereof two cubits; and the corners thereof, and the length thereof, and the walls thereof, <i>were</i> of wood: and he said unto me, This <i>is</i> the table that <i>is</i> before the LORD.	The altar <i>was</i> of wood, three cubits high, and its length two cubits; its corners, its base, and its sides <i>were</i> of wood. And he said to me, “This is the table that is before the LORD.”	There was a wooden altar three cubits high and two cubits square; its corners, its base and its sides were of wood. The man said to me, “This is the table that is before the LORD.”
23	Both the outer sanctuary and the inner sanctuary had double doors,	The nave and the Holy Place had each a double door.	And the temple and the sanctuary had two doors.	The sanctuary and the <i>inner</i> sanctuary <i>each</i> had a double door.	Both the main hall and the Most Holy Place had double doors.
24	and each door had two swinging panels. There were two panels for one door and two for the other.	The double doors had two leaves apiece, two swinging leaves for each door.	And the doors had two leaves <i>apiece</i>, two turning leaves; two <i>leaves</i> for the one door, and two leaves for the other <i>door</i>.	<i>Each of</i> the doors had two leaves, two swinging leaves; two <i>leaves</i> for one door and two leaves for the other.	Each door had two leaves—two hinged leaves for each door.
25	Cherubim and palm trees like those on the walls were carved on the doors of the outer sanctuary, and there was a wooden canopy outside, on the front of the portico.	And on the doors of the nave were carved cherubim and palm trees, such as were carved on the walls. And there was a canopy of wood in front of the vestibule outside.	And <i>there were</i> made on them, on the doors of the temple, cherubims and palm trees, like as <i>were</i> made upon the walls; and <i>there were</i> thick planks upon the face of the porch without.	Also there were carved on them, on the doors of the main room, cherubim and palm trees like those carved on the walls; and <i>there was</i> a threshold of wood on the front of the porch outside.	And on the doors of the main hall were carved cherubim and palm trees like those carved on the walls, and there was a wooden overhang on the front of the portico.
26	There were beveled windows and palm trees on the sidewalls of the portico. The side rooms of the temple also had canopies.	And there were narrow windows and palm trees on either side, on the sidewalls of the vestibule, the side chambers of the temple, and the canopies.	And <i>there were</i> narrow windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch, and <i>upon</i> the side chambers of the house, and thick planks.	<i>And there were</i> latticed windows and palm trees on one side and on the other, on the sides of the porch; <i>the same were on</i> the side chambers of the house and the thresholds.	On the sidewalls of the portico were narrow windows with palm trees carved on each side. The side rooms of the temple also had overhangs.
