2 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ אֶל־ נָתָ֣ן הַנָּבִ֔יא רְאֵ֣ה נָ֔א אָנֹכִ֥י יוֹשֵׁ֖ב בְּבֵ֣ית אֲרָזִ֑ים וַֽאֲרוֹן֙ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים יֹשֵׁ֖ב בְּת֥וֹךְ הַיְרִיעָֽה׃ the king said to Nathan the prophet, “See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells in a tent.” he said to Nathan the prophet, “Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.”
3 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר נָתָן֙ אֶל־ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ כֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר בִּֽלְבָבְךָ֖ לֵ֣ךְ עֲשֵׂ֑ה כִּ֥י יְהוָ֖ה עִמָּֽךְ׃ ס And Nathan said to the king, “Go, do all that is in your heart, for the LORD is with you.” Nathan replied to the king, “Whatever you have in mind, go ahead and do it, for the LORD is with you.”
4 וַיְהִ֖י בַּלַּ֣יְלָה הַה֑וּא וַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־ נָתָ֖ן לֵאמֹֽר׃ But that same night the word of the LORD came to Nathan, But that night the word of the LORD came to Nathan, saying:
5 לֵ֤ךְ וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ אֶל־ עַבְדִּ֣י אֶל־ דָּוִ֔ד כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה הַאַתָּ֛ה תִּבְנֶה־ לִּ֥י בַ֖יִת לְשִׁבְתִּֽי׃ “Go and tell my servant David, ‘Thus says the LORD: Would you build me a house to dwell in? “Go and tell my servant David, ‘This is what the LORD says: Are you the one to build me a house to dwell in?
