1 And Solomon said to build a temple for the Name of YHWH, and a house for his kingdom. Now Solomon purposed to build a temple for the name of the LORD, and a royal palace for himself. Solomon gave orders to build a temple for the Name of the LORD and a royal palace for himself.
2 And Solomon selected seventy thousand men as burden bearers, and eighty thousand men as hewers in the hill country, and three thousand and six hundred overseers over them. And Solomon assigned 70,000 men to bear burdens and 80,000 to quarry in the hill country, and 3,600 to oversee them. He conscripted 70,000 men as carriers and 80,000 as stonecutters in the hills and 3,600 as foremen over them.
